This website “fletchersmill.community” is primarily for owners and residents in Fletcher’s Mill Community, found at 13802 N. Rome Ave., Tampa, FL 33613.

These terms and conditions, or the Agreement, explain the rules of using the website. By viewing, signing up for, logging in to, accessing, submitting content to, or in any other way using the website, you are consenting to this Agreement.

User Status

Each user’s access to the website is continuously based on their status in at least one of three categories:

  • Owner
  • Resident
  • Affiliate

Any user not confirmed to currently fit a category is subject to denial or removal from that category, at any time, without notice, regardless of past or future status. Any user not currently fitting any of these three categories is subject to denial or removal from the website, at any time, without notice, regardless of past or future status.

Any user who requests access to the website, or who requests status in a category, must specify their real name and which physical Property in the community pertains to their request. This information is called Standing Details. Each user’s status is evaluated by website Moderators, in consultation with any confirmed Owners (and in some cases Residents) of the specified Property, called Relevant Owners (and Relevant Residents, respectively). Moderators have sole discretion and authority to confirm, deny, or revoke status at any time, without notice, possibly resulting in denial or removal from the website if no status remains.

Although this is not expected to be common, Moderators may at any time, at their discretion, require users to provide documentation to prove ownership or residence, up to and including images of utility bills, government-issued photo IDs, or other materials typically used for identification. This documentation is called Proof of Standing. At the discretion of the Moderators, freedom may be granted to the user to redact unneeded portions of the Proof of Standing before providing it. Failure to provide Proof of Standing, or deficiencies found in it, may result in denial or removal of status and possibly access to the website, at the sole discretion of the Moderators.

Moderators will strive to evaluate Owner status based solely on legal ownership of Property in the community, and Resident status based solely on real place of residence. When evaluating Affiliate status, Moderators will consult with and seek to respect the preference of Owners and Residents of the relevant Property. This means, for example:

  • A previously confirmed Owner status should be revoked when they sell their Property, or when the Moderators discover that the status was granted in error.
  • A previously confirmed Resident status should be revoked when they move away or change residence, or when the Moderators discover that the status was granted in error.
  • If both Owner and Resident status is revoked, the user may be evaluated for Affiliate status, rather than removed from the website.
  • Moderators should never deny or revoke any Owner or Resident status based on a user’s behavior, content submissions, or any personal characteristic such as demographics, beliefs, attitudes, or favor or disfavor with any Moderator or third party.
  • Affiliate status may be revoked by Moderators for any reason, without notice. However, Moderators will seek to respect the decisions of Relevant Owners & Residents in this matter.

Regardless of a user’s status, any content they submit is subject to certain restrictions, called the Content Policy, outlined below under the heading “Content Policy.” Any content in violation of the Content Policy is subject to immediate removal, without notice. However, no confirmed Owner or Resident status may be denied or revoked based on that user’s violations of the Content Policy, past, present, or future.

Content Policy

All user-submitted content is subject to these restrictions:

  • No illegal content. This prohibition includes, among other things, copyright violations, menacing threats, or speech leading to imminent lawless action.
  • No abusive speech, hate speech, profanity, bullying, harassment, or speech that dehumanizes anyone.
  • No spamming, excessive or undesirable solicitation, or floods of content intended to overwhelm or congest the website.
  • No innappropriate content unfit for family viewing. This prohibition includes, among other things, violent or sexual content, excessively disturbing content, etc.
  • No lible or intentional misinformation.
  • No ad hominem argumentation.

Users may flag content for review by website Moderators, but the Content Policy is enforced at the sole discretion and authority of the website Moderator. Any content in violation of the Content Policy is subject to immediate removal, without notice. Further consequences depend on the user’s status:

  • Confirmed Owners and Residents must be allowed continued access to view the website and even submit content. Repeat offenders may be given a 12-hour delay on their submissions, at the sole discretion of the Moderators, to facilitate timely and effective moderation; but access to view or submit content may not be completely or permanently revoked from any confirmed Owner or Resident while they retain confirmed status.
  • Affiliates can be given a submission delay, or muted, or banned from the website, depending on the number and severity of violations, at the sole discretion of the Moderators. Moderators will seek to respect the decisions of Relevant Owners & Residents in this matter.

Moderators will seek to enforce the Content Policy consistently and fairly, and to communicate with users about it whenever enforcement is necessary, or whenever there are questions, to foster an atmosphere of transparency and trust. Nonetheless, Moderators retain final authority in enforcement of the Content Policy.

Data Privacy

Accounts on this site can be anonymized or deleted at the user’s request. Contact @fletchmillcomm for details.

Proof of Standing (detailed above in the section labelled “User Status”) will always be kept private to Moderators. It will never be shared with other website users, or with any external party, for any reason, unless required by law.

A user may request that their Standing Details (also detailed above in “User Status”) be kept private just like Proof of Standing, or at the user’s discretion it may be shared on their profile for other website users to see. Regardless, neither Moderators nor Admins will ever sell it to or share it with any external party, for any reason, unless required by law.

Closing Remarks

Like any social system, this one will certainly languish if those in power (in this case, the Moderators) begin to abuse it. Thus, the success and health of this website depends on the Moderators staying committed to following the intent behind these rules: that access to the website reflect legal ownership of, or physical residence on, Property in the community.
